This large department pride themselves on their forward planning and ability to deliver what Queensland needs. As part of their planning process, a new team has been created to manage HR related projects important to their success.
About the Role
Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager you will have responsibility for leading and delivering of the following key tasks:
  • Working closely with and leading stakeholders in preparing business cases around Workforce Planning
  • Design data queries, and perform detailed analysis across large datasets in an effort to identify and predict intrinsic workforce issues
  • Provide a high level of expertise in establishing and defining key workforce metrics to assist workforce planning through a range of research and analysis techniques including facilitated workshops
  • Mentor and share knowledge with other team members to ensure the maintenance of high quality deliverables
  • Maintaining a logical data map of information entities.
  • Working with IT and our customers to identify information assets, data quality issues and recommendations for improvement.
  • Designing and building new data models and partnering with IT to implement business intelligence solutions.
  • Design advanced data queries, and perform detailed analysis across large composite datasets in an effort to identify and predict intrinsic workforce issues and challenges for the department.
  • You spend time validating workforce data so that it can be used to drive targeted workforce strategy relating to complex workforce supply and demand challenges - collaborating to ensure that the information extracted answers critical business questions.
  • Participate in meetings and forums across HR and with various stakeholders to capture data analysis, trends and reporting requirements.
This is a 12 month contract, based in Brisbane CBD.

About You
You are an information analyst with a human resources oriented mindset.  You have a passion for information design and information management, and working with customers to help them discover and build complex analytical models that support decision making.   To be successful, you will have worked in a HR Analyst role or similar HR role before and have an understanding of workforce planning practices. Demonstrated excellence in data extraction, data cleansing, consultancy, and data analysis and reporting – with a focus on business process improvement.  You may have a background in data warehousing, database management and the support and use of transactional workforce systems such as a HRIS.

You will excel at providing high level business analysis expertise to improve business processes and outcomes including forecasting, workforce reporting and human resource business intelligence. You must be confident in building positive relationships and be comfortable with influencing. You have demonstrated experience leading the research and analysis of human resource information and datasets.
