Our client, a not for profit within the telecommunications sector is the service benchmark provider across the industry.

An amazing opportunity is open for an end to end L&D manager to assist across the ongoing projects within a changing landscape. Reporting into the GM People, you will be required to design, develop, implement and assess Learning & Development strategies and initiatives in support of the Strategy and Operational Plans. The L&D Manager is responsible for delivering both the technical and non-technical Learning & Development requirements to ensure the effective and responsive delivery of services to team employees at all levels and stages of their careers.

Although a full Training Needs Analysis has not been completed, key L&D areas of focus in the current strategic period 2018 - 2020 are:

  • Clarity/Logic/Reasoning - improving the ability to convey logical reasoning in a plain English manner

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Build and deliver learner-focused, blended learning and Competency frameworks for Learning and Performance purposes.
  • Build and deliver skills matrixes for technical and job knowledge and skill development.
  • Create, articulate and integrate learning that supports Organisational Values, Employee Value Proposition and Employer Brand aligned with the brand positioning
  • Develop and implement Career Pathways, incorporating learning and development links with Talent Management and Succession Planning frameworks, aligned with organisational design and objectives.
  • Develop and implement learning that supports a strategically focused "Performance Conversations" framework, including aligned LMS systems and development practices that support and encourage individual and team development plans, and the improvement of desired organisational competencies and capabilities.

To be successful you must:

  • Cornerstone or similar LMS experience
  • Tertiary qualified or Cert IV Training & Assessment
  • Experience in similar roles in corporate environments.
  • Experience in learning strategy development or management of learning and development curriculums.
  • Instructional Design expertise using ADDIE model.
  • Expert facilitation skills e.g. Learning International Programs or similar.
  • Extensive experience developing technical Competency Frameworks and Skills Matrixes using behaviourally anchored ratings scales (BARS).
  • Expert understanding of evaluation methodologies using Kirkpatrick model.
  • Desirable - Accreditation in Development Centres and using Competency Assessment principles for talent identification and development purposes e.g. Hudson methodology.
  • Deep experience in development and execution of learning and development strategy.
