About the role:
Located in inner suburbs of Melbourne’s south, the position of People & Culture HR Manager will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with the business and its leaders in developing and delivering best practice HR.
Sitting on the Executive team, the People & Culture Manager reports directly to the COO and will be responsible for the delivery of innovative Human Resources services to achieve business objectives and foster company growth.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • To promote an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
  • Development and maintenance of HR processes and policies to support strategic objectives.
  • Ensure HR services are compliant with IR, ER & WHS & relevant legislation.
  • Talent pipeline and ensure succession strategies are in place for all executive and business critical roles.
  • Develop optimal team structures in each function in order to deliver business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create career development plans and pathways to support employee growth.
  • Manage, coach and develop the members of the People and Culture & Office Support team.
  • Benchmark salaries to industry standards annually.
  • Ensure the compensation and benefits program will support business objectives and drive engagement.
About You:
  • To be considered you will hold a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or similar.
  • Demonstrate recent experience operating in an entrepreneurial environment in an HR Management capacity from the retail, hospitality or customer-centric sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of current WHS and Industrial Relations laws across ANZ in addition to a variety of international locations.
  • Excellent knowledge of developing and maintaining HR systems and processes in small to medium organizations.
  • Experience in business processes, budgeting and business support office operations.
  • Extremely high attention to detail and be able to work with others with such expectations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and support line managers.
  • Experience in developing and delivering framework, in line with HR strategy to align to meet the organisation's goals & objectives.
  • Previous experience of leading and developing a team.
