Your new company
Based in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs, this government owned organisation provides safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services. This permanent position as a HR Advisor, supporting managers and employees on a full range of HR related issues.

Your new role

  • Provide consistent, high quality and timely support, advice and resolution to managers on a full range of operational people matters and conditions of employment
  • Act as Employee Support lead to provide support & development of business support activities & initiatives building organisational culture and leadership standards
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of processes, procedures and documentation to ensure best possible HR advice and practices
  • Support and advise managers in regards to attendance management, case management, performance improvement and Code of Conduct process

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience in providing sound HR advice working within a centralised model across a full range of people matters
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities and be able to be flexible and adapt to changing work demands and circumstances
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Strong consulting, problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills facilitating the application of HR principles and industrial frameworks to deliver tailored, appropriate and informed advice
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or Mercer certification
