About Them
This organisation has a deep and rich history within the Australian manufacturing landscape. Recognised as industry leaders in product quality, on-time delivery and after-sales service, this organisation manufactures and supplies an extensive range of high performance glass and glass system solutions to the Australia building and manufacturing sectors. With a workforce of approximately 230 employees, they operate from three key sites in Victoria (North Geelong and Dandenong) and New South Wales (Moorebank). With an agenda for change and driving a performance-based culture, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Human Resources Leader to join their team.

About the Role
Leadership team, you will lead and develop the Human Resources function across multiple sites within the business. In this stand-alone broad generalist role, you will be responsible for the review, design and delivery of an innovative people function that will underpin the transformation and better align with strategic goals and objectives of the business. Key accountabilities will also include:
  • Being the trusted HR Business Partner to business leaders;
  • Identify opportunities for improvements across areas such as culture and values, acquisition and retention, OHS and workcover, workplace relations, training and development, and performance management systems; and
  • Coaching leaders, and lifting capability, around people practices and having constructive conversations that drive a high performance culture.
About Success
Building relationships across all levels of the business will be critical to your success, as will an ability to coach and advise business leaders, and facilitate resolutions, around a broad range of human resources activities and initiatives. A key focus on driving improvements across the employment lifecycle and creating consistency across multiple sites will also be key to success in this role.

About You
You present with tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, and are recognised as a mature HR Generalist with experience ideally gained in a manufacturing environment. You have proficient experience and knowledge around the Fair Work Act, other State and Federal employment legislation, and ideally have experience negotiating EBAs. Your demonstrated experience and comfort in balancing strategic and tactical elements of this position will also be highly regarded, as will your expertise in driving organisational effectiveness.  

*Working across two sites in Victoria, and some interstate travel will be required.
