Your next career defining role:

Our retail team is paramount to our success, this exciting role allows you to proactively partner with this great team of people located in QLD, VIC and WA, to deliver an exceptional level of HR service.

Reporting to the ER, People & Performance Manager Australia; this role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to apply your generalist HR skills whilst offering you a variety of fun challenges to sink your teeth into.

A day in the life of a Kathmandu HR Business Partner includes:

  • Providing high quality coaching, support and legislatively compliant advice to our managers and employees across a broad range of HR and ER matters.
  • Conducting an in-depth investigation and leading a disciplinary process (over the phone) across a broad range of issues, including bullying, theft or procedural breaches.
  • Being a master coach; supporting managers with engagement and retention issues and actioning plans.
  • Retail Award interpretation and answering queries from managers and employees.
  • Being the first point of contact for safety related issues and managing work cover claims (full training provided).
  • Passionately contributing to the development, implementation and evolution of our People Strategy.
  • Being a fact-finder, report-analyser and continuous improvement spotter; providing strategic recommendations to the team on how best to achieve our goals.

A little bit about you….

You’ve played this game before and you know how to:

  • Manage all HR matters in the employee lifecycle including: conducting thorough investigations, running a disciplinary meeting, writing a performance improvement plan, facilitating a succession planning session or managing an employee relations matter.
  • Interpret and advise on Awards, legislation and regulations.

You also have:

  • Fantastic people skills; you love to develop, maintain and foster strong partnerships with your key stakeholders
  • An ability to analyse data and deal with ambiguity
  • A pragmatic approach, you are flexible and adaptable, yet have the diligence to plough through work autonomously to achieve your goals.
  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.
