HR Coordinator - Herbert Smith Freehills

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an exceptional HR Coordinator to join our Macquarie Park office to support the national HR function and the local HR team.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Draft employment contracts and standard employee documents
  • Initiate psychometric testing
  • Initiate exit surveys for Business Services and Practice Group teams
  • Initiate pre-employment screening tests and maintain register prior to audit
  • Attend to Sydney office HR  needs for annual  internal and external audits
  • Schedule new starter induction at both Sydney office sites and manage all stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery
  • Check that all incoming legal staff have satisfied the firm’s practising certificate and visa requirements
  • Supply and quality control of standard offer and induction materials. Update the national induction slides as needed
  • Maintenance of HR intranet and documents, in particular policy updates on equip
  • Manage local work experience program, including process refinement
  • Contribute to national HR projects and initiatives including

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Our HR Coordinator role will suit recent graduates, or those who are studying towards a tertiary qualification in HR and are keen to develop their HR skills in a supportive environment that is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to their stakeholders. An individual with a positive, can-do attitude, and a willingness and aptitude to learn and develop is key to the success of this role.

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
  • Previous administrative experience within a HR function is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously on an agreed plan.
  • Client service focused, with strong stakeholder management skills.
