HR Manager - Contract Role - Growing SME - Macquarie Park

Your new company
This US owned growing consumer business has the customer at the forefront of all they do. They have strong core values and empower people to live their best life. Due to maternity leave there is an opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to undertake a contract role as HR Manager.

Your new role
You will be the stand-alone HR Manager and will have a dual reporting line into the GM Australia and VP of HR in the US. You will have full responsibility for all HR operations and strategic activity for a fun and motivated workforce of 60 staff. You will drive culture and engagement and be the backbone of the business, ensuring leaders, managers and employees have the best coaching and HR advice provided to them to ensure the success of the company. You will be responsible for all recruitment, talent attraction and onboarding, training coordination; employee relations and advising on local HR policies and processes as well as liaising with global HR on compliance and reporting.

In addition you will prepare the company's payroll and work with the outsourcing provider to ensure the timely processing of the payroll and superannuation. You will also be responsible for staff events, people and culture activities and any employee engagement programs and incentives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be immediately available or have a short notice period and be able to commit to a contract. Other key attributes needed include:

  • Experience as a HR Manager or in standalone HR role
  • Knowledgeable HR generalist with solid understanding of employment legislation
  • Strong coaching, influencing and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and enjoy working in small teams, feeling part of a close knit environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll and exposure to ADP or another payroll system and ability to process fortnightly payroll
