An exciting opportunity to join a growing local organisation

Your new company
Our client, a locally owned business whose operations stretch across the Top End of Australia including QLD and WA are actively sourcing an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
This role will firstly see you as the key point of contact for all HR issues, with emphasis over Award interpretation and advise. You will work directly with the General Manager to ensure that all contractors and staff aware aware of all shift work and rights in accordance to Fair Work Australia and support them on any issues or grievances. You will also work with line management on recruitment needs and any performance issues. This hands on role will also see you supporting the General Manager and assisting them with day to day adhoc administrative and project tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have a strong background in Fair Work Australia and award interpretation, with preference to blue collar industries including mining and construction. You will enjoy working in a busy and engaged environment and be a hands on person who is there for the greater growth of the business. You will not mind taking on project tasks to support management and enjoy being proactive and supportive.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a similar discipline is preferred.
