This organisation is a peak representative body that protects the interests and aspirations of its members and the broader community.  The corporate office is based in Parramatta with regional and local councils spread across the state.  As a result of an organisational review, there is a transformation program underway and this position (along with 2 others in HR) have been created to transform the HR function to a full service HR/OD model.

About the role
Reporting to the People & Workplace Manager, The Human Resources Business Partner will provide support to the client group across all generalist activities. As a solid “end to end” HR Generalist, you will be experienced and comfortable working in a true partnering model, a background in a consulting capacity would be preferential.
  • Provide high quality human resource and employee relations services that are appropriate to the need of the client group.
  • Consult with Leadership in the development of workforce plans inclusive of employment programs using people analytics to measure success.
  • Ensure team capability is aligned to business objectives and deploy resources where necessary to achieve success.
  • Lead, facilitate or manage a range of complex projects including capability frameworks, performance management, learning and development programs.
  • Provide strategic human resource management advice at a senior level along with well developed capacity to plan, lead, negotiate and manage organisational change.
Skills & experience
You will work in a collaborative manner and will be able to demonstrate capacity to support management remotely.
Experience implementing HR projects and strong employee relations skills will be crucial to this role.
You experience working with Aboriginal Communities will be highly valued.
