Seeking an experienced L&D consultant to develop and implement the L&D Strategy and Framework

OUR NEW COMPANY
This Government organisation in Geelong requires an experienced L&D Consultant join the People and Culture team for a minimum of 3 Months.

YOUR NEW ROLE
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop the Learning & Development Strategy and Framework to manage the organisation's training and professional development activities and processes and build the capabilities of all staff.
Other functions of the role include but not limited to:

  • Work with People & Culture, Corporate Services and teams to understand and assess the organisational L&D requirements to best manage legislative compliance training, professional development, skills and capability development for all employees.
  • Partner effectively with departments, subject matter experts and external partners to understand and assess the L&D requirements to establish and agree the learning pathways and structures.
  • Manage the end to end project management for the identification, acquisition and implementation of a suitable Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist the Senior Learning & Development Officer to develop on-line training material and accessible user guides/quick guides and work with internal stakeholders to embed the system ensuring there is adequate communication and training of administrators and end-users.
  • Assist with the implementation of a process for on-boarding new employees to use the system.
 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Proven experience in developing Learning & Development Strategies and Frameworks for similar sized government organisations.
  • Proven experience in end to end project management for the identification and implementation of a LMS for an organization of similar size and operations.
  • Training delivery experience and demonstrated effective presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Is comfortable working as part of a team, able to take direction and engage with stakeholders.
 

WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN
This role is due to start in December and will go for approximately 2-3 months. The hourly rate will be between $60-$70 p/hr + super (depending on skill level).
