An exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Snr HR Advisor to join a not for profit organisation

Your new role
An exciting opportunity has come available for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a reputable not for profit organisation. Based in Darwin, this position will see you responsible for the provision of Human Resource advice and guidance to the organisations operations team. This role will also partner with business units to achieve an engaged and productive workforce

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have recent experience as a HR Advisor or Consultant and be competent in managing complex workforce relations issues such as case management, reporting and investigations, workforce development, grievances and performance management. You will be required to develop effective relationships with management and work collaboratively with them to provide advice and guidance on day to day operational activities including policy and procedures, WHS and best practice and legislative requirements to allow them to effectively manage their teams. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the recruitment process for the organisation, including drafting and revision of Job Descriptions, sourcing skilled candidates, organisation and preparation of interview processing, contracts and on-boarding.
  • Provide advice, coaching and support to Line Management in the delivery of day to day transformation HR requirements including organisational development and change methodologies when required
  • Working with the People and Culture team, support the development of modernising HR processes and systems with a focus on performance management systems and recruitment.
  • Represent the organisation and your team by promoting a positive, proactive and engaging workforce
  • Provide ad hoc HR Project support as directed by the HR Business Partner
  • Working in partnership with the HR Business Partner, contribute and support the development and review of HR policies, procedures, planning and development needs
  • Take a proactive lead in the ongoing day to day HR support for existing staff, this includes all aspects of Employee Relations from case and performance management to workforce development and required reporting.

Strong communication skills, conflict resolution experience and the ability to build professional relationship is essential to the success of this position. In addition, high level writing and reporting skills and a tertiary qualification in a HR discipline is required
