Looking for a high performing HR all-rounder seeking movement into HR policy/Workplace Relations

This government body is an independent statutory authority who works closely with other large government departments to provide safe aviation in Australia.

Your new role
The Workplace Relations & Policy Advisor liaises with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters and is responsible for the research, drafting and consultation of the organisation's people policies.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake and participate in the coordination and management of workplace and employment frameworks, policies and programs
  • Providing high-level written work relating to research, policy drafting, reports and advice associated with the organisation's Enterprise Agreement and associated industrial framework
  • Undertake complex procedural, administrative and service-related tasks in line with the organisation's employment and personnel management arrangements
  • Coordinating responses to high risk and sensitive matters such as conduct, performance and workplace disputes
  • Participate in reform and redesign of work practices
  • Supporting the implementation of change and promoting continuous improvement activities across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate in this role you will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience with Commonwealth public sector enterprise employment frameworks
  • Experience in providing high-quality advice on workplace relations and complex human resource matters
  • Demonstrated experience in the research, drafting and consultation of people policy and workplace procedures documentation
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to use discretion and sound judgement to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employment matters
  • Tertiary qualifications or accreditation in industrial relations and employment law, human resource management, or business management would be highly regarded.
