For this role, we are partnered with a Federal Government Organisation in Brisbane / Gold Coast to recruit an APS6 Organisational Designer for a 12-month full-time contract opportunity paid at an attractive hourly rate.

Your new role

In this role, you will:

• Manage the development and maintenance of core role statements within established job family frameworks, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational standards.
• Support workforce planning by analysing current and future workforce needs and recommending effective organisational structures.
• Provide specialist advice across a range of organisational design activities.
• Deliver expert guidance on professional and legal officer requests, broadband proposals and role evaluations.
• Conduct organisational assessments to identify improvement opportunities and recommend structural changes.
• Complete role evaluation assessments for APS positions.
• Manage and deliver assigned organisational design projects from planning through to implementation.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this position, you will be:

• Able to assess organisational structures, identify improvement opportunities and recommend practical, effective solutions.
• Skilled in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, gathering requirements and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Strong written and verbal capability to present findings, convey information clearly and engage confidently with stakeholders.
• Experienced in planning, managing and delivering organisational design projects on time and within scope.
• Skilled in developing and implementing strategies that support organisational change and enable smooth transitions.
• Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or a related field. (Desired)
• Certifications in project management and/or change management. (Desired)
• Experience in organisational design or development and/or workforce planning. (Desired)
