Design and deliver security training programs that build capability - Security Clearance required

A prominent federal government agency is seeking a skilled Training Specialist to join a high-performing team focused on delivering impactful security training programs. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to national capability development and support a secure operational environment across Australia's international footprint.
Your new role
As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a suite of security training programs that build awareness, capability, and culture across the agency. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner organisations to ensure staff are equipped to identify, mitigate, and manage security threats effectively.
Key responsibilities include:

Develop and deliver engaging, culturally sensitive, and diversity-enabled training programs.

Facilitate face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning sessions.

Create instructional materials and eLearning content using adult learning principles.

Review and refine training curricula to address emerging risks and align with agency frameworks.

Collaborate with stakeholders across government to assess and respond to training needs.

Support continuous improvement of training delivery and capability development.
What you'll need to succeed

Minimum current Baseline Security clearance, NV1 clearance preferred.

Experience in government training development, delivery, and coordination.

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.

Familiarity with protective security frameworks and risk management (or ability to quickly acquire).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proficiency in training development software and eLearning platforms.
