Join a large federal government agency as part of a major reform program. This role sits within a dynamic team focused on delivering engaging, accessible training content to support the rollout of new regulatory frameworks and ICT systems. The APS6 Training Specialist will support stakeholder education and capability uplift.

Your new role
As an APS6 Training Specialist, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering engaging, accessible education content for internal and external stakeholders. You'll work within the Stakeholder Engagement, Education and Change stream to support the rollout of new regulatory frameworks and ICT systems.
Key responsibilities include:

Design and deliver multi-channel training products including e-learning modules, videos, podcasts, and workshops

Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex regulatory and technical information into clear, user-friendly education materials

Develop education programs that benchmark and measure stakeholder performance and understanding

Ensure content meets accessibility, branding, and compliance standards

Represent the program at stakeholder meetings and forums, building strong relationships and managing expectations

Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data
What you'll need to succeed
-
Proven experience in workplace training, instructional design, or stakeholder capability uplift-ideally in a regulatory or government setting

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts

High-level organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a project environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and course authoring tools (e.g. Adobe Captivate, video editing software)

Australian citizenship and minimum Baseline security clearance
Desirable:
-
Tertiary qualifications in Training and Assessment, Instructional Design, Multimedia Production, or a related field

Experience delivering training products to high-profile and informed audiences

Experience developing education materials related to regulatory reform, including training on enabling ICT systems

Demonstrated understanding of best practice training methodologies

Proficiency with photography and videography equipment, including basic editing software
