This is an exciting opportunity to support the leadership and delivery of the Employee Relations function within the Corporate Services Hub of a major government department. The role of Manager, Case Management involves providing strategic and operational advice to senior leaders on a diverse range of complex people and performance matters. You'll operate across the employment cycle, ensuring compliance with policy and industrial frameworks.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, and performance management, in line with government policies and procedures.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, award/agreement interpretation, and best practice employee relations within a government context.
- Developing solutions for complex case management matters, including proactively managing escalated complex conflict and disputes by leveraging specialist knowledge and resources.
- Overseeing and administering case management systems to ensure accurate documentation, timely progression, and compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Preparing and presenting reports, correspondence, and recommendations relating to case management and employee relations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to thrive in this complex environment.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment legislation, government frameworks, and industrial instruments affecting public sector employment.
- A criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment due to the role's access to sensitive data.
- The possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, human resources, or a related field will be highly regarded.
