Drive Quality Innovation and Future-Proof Organisational Performance

An established and growing Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the evolution of its Integrated Management System (IMS) and drive a culture of continuous improvement across quality and safety functions.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys building systems, improving business processes and creating practical solutions that support operational excellence. You'll have the autonomy to modernise existing frameworks, introduce innovative approaches, and help shape how quality management is embedded across a complex project environment.

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Lead Auditor Qualification (mandatory)
  • Australian experience working within ISO-certified environments
  • Personally built or transformed an IMS, not just maintained one
  • Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or Industrial businesses' exposure in Australia
  • Demonstrated experience leading ISO audits and quality management initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and governance frameworks

The Opportunity

Reporting into the HSEQ leadership team, you will take ownership of the organisation's Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance while driving meaningful improvements that support business growth and future capability.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Integrated Management System
  • Creating and refining policies, procedures and governance frameworks
  • Managing ISO certification requirements and audit programs
  • Leading internal and external audits, including corrective actions and close-out activities
  • Building practical systems and processes that are embraced by operational teams
  • Supporting innovation initiatives, including the use of emerging technologies and AI-enabled process improvements
  • Developing reporting frameworks, dashboards and performance insights for leadership
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety and environmental outcomes
  • Providing coaching and guidance to stakeholders on quality systems and compliance requirements
  • Working collaboratively across large and complex project environments to strengthen organisational capability
About You
We are seeking a highly capable systems-focused professional who can balance technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

You will bring:
  • Significant experience managing or developing Integrated Management Systems
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, with exposure to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Proven experience leading both internal and external audits
  • Demonstrated capability in developing policies, procedures and governance documentation
  • Strong experience managing corrective actions and continuous improvement programs
  • Experience building, enhancing or transforming quality systems rather than simply maintaining them
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex requirements for non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative and pragmatic approach that allows you to build strong relationships across the business
  • Experience within Australian construction, civil, engineering, infrastructure or major project environments
  • The ability to work autonomously and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups

What you need to do now

If you're looking for your next challenge, I'd love to hear from you.
