Join a globally recognised defence organisation based in Brisbane. They are currently seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer for a 6‑month contract to support ongoing hiring requirements.

Your new role
As a Recruitment Officer, you will play a key role in building the workforce. Working closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders, you'll manage end-to-end recruitment activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting high-volume phone screenings and candidate assessments
- Sourcing candidates across a range of technical and corporate roles using multiple channels
- Partnering closely with internal stakeholders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs
- Coordinating interviews and managing candidate communications to ensure a positive experience
- Supporting recruitment reporting, compliance, and onboarding processes
- Contributing to process improvement within a fast-growing project environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition (agency or in-house)
- Confidence conducting phone screens and candidate shortlisting
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and advise hiring managers
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience recruiting in defence, government, engineering, or technical sectors is highly regarded.
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance (or eligibility to do so)
