Your new role

Provide high-quality professional advice and support to project and contract management staff, managers, and regional teams on WHS legislation, standards, certification, accreditation, and best practices. Assist with implementing WHS policies, managing contractor safety performance, and promoting good practices in organisation-led construction projects.
In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborate with peer roles, project, and regional leadership in contractor safety assurance under the delivery model WHS Delivery Model.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with safety practitioners, project and contract management staff, and managers across organisation
  • Stay updated on good practices and emerging trends in contractor safety assurance.
  • Assist project and contract administration teams with Client-Side Safety Governance (CSSG), including reviewing and analysing project data and reports.
  • Support principal contractors in effective incident reporting and investigation while aiding the organisation's project teams in monitoring improvement actions.
  • Contribute to the identification, planning, and execution of contractor safety assurance initiatives to enhance industry WHS capabilities and performance.
  • Aid in implementing contractor safety assurance content through training, consultation, and ongoing effectiveness monitoring.
  • Lead and support workplace visits, inspections, and audits to help the organisation's project teams understand contractor systems and risk management controls.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Current holder of a Class C driver's license
  • Cert IV in WHS
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Traffic Management qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking workplace investigations.
  • Previous experience in construction or infrastructure is desirable.
