About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to work closely with senior leaders and managers, providing high-level, pragmatic HR advice across the full employee lifecycle. This role blends strategic partnering with hands-on operational HR, including complex employee relations and industrial matters.
You will play a key role in supporting leaders to build positive workplace culture, manage change effectively, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, employment frameworks, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders and managers to deliver expert HR advice across performance management, employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, and organisational change
- Advise on the interpretation and application of enterprise agreements, awards, policies, and procedures in line with legislative requirements
- Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and performance concerns
- Support managers to proactively address people issues and sustain positive workplace culture
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives, projects, systems, and tools that support organisational objectives
- Provide high-quality people data, insights, and reporting to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with HR colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver consistent, valued, and responsive HR services
- Lead or support change management, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives as required
- Maintain strong professional knowledge of contemporary HR practice, employment legislation, and emerging trends
About You
You are a confident, commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working in complex environments and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (or significant progress toward completion)
- Extensive experience in a senior HR business partnering or industrial relations role within a complex organisation
- Strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, and change management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create practical, well-considered HR solutions
- Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage sensitive issues effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative, service-oriented approach with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
