We are partnered with a Federal Government Organisation in Brisbane to recruit a Training Specialist on a temporary basis.
Your new role
This role is only open to Australian citizens, and you must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (baseline, NV1 or NV2).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement multichannel, user-centred education strategies aligned with complex legislative reform.
- Develop innovative training products including e-learning modules, videos, animations, podcasts, workshops, and instructional materials
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to scope, storyboard, and produce multimedia content that meets program learning objectives.
- Translate complex regulatory and technical information into clear, accessible training content
- Assess stakeholder learning needs and evaluate training effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data
- Ensure all content meets the organisation and Australian Government style and accessibility standards
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and representation at forums and meetings
- Stay abreast of current educational trends and best practice learning methodologies
- Report on program performance and contribute to continuous improvement of training initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
Mandatory Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering workplace training and stakeholder capability uplift, ideally within a regulatory environment
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to manage resources and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to implement user-centred education strategies and measure success against KPIs
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups
- Agility in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Captivate and multimedia editing tools is advantageous.
- Commitment to team-based outcomes and alignment with strategic program goals
Desirable Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Training and Workplace Assessment or related field
- Experience delivering training to high-profile audiences under public scrutiny
- Background in regulatory reform education and ICT system training
- Qualifications in instructional design or multimedia production
- Competency with photography, videography, and editing software
