Hays Human Resources is partnering with a leading national organisation to recruit a Senior Employee Relations Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER professional who enjoys managing complex workplace matters, influencing senior stakeholders and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Your new role
As a Senior Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and managing complex employee relations matters across a large, unionised workforce. You will partner closely with leaders and People & Culture teams, supporting a wide range of workforce matters while ensuring compliance with legislation, industrial instruments and organisational policies.

Manage complex employee relations matters end-to-end, including performance, conduct, grievances, investigations and workplace conflict.

Provide expert advice on employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, Awards and workplace policies.

Support organisational change initiatives, including consultations, restructures and redeployment processes

Manage Fair Work and employment-related disputes, claims and conciliation matters.

Coach and support leaders through complex workforce matters and difficult conversations.

Prepare investigation reports, employment documentation and formal correspondence.

Contribute to policy development, governance initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
What you'll need to succeed

Significant experience in employee relations, workplace investigations and complex case management

Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

Experience managing Fair Work matters, disputes and stakeholder engagement

Exceptional written communication and stakeholder management skills.

The ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within healthcare, aged care, community services or another highly regulated and unionised environment will be highly regarded
