Hays is looking for an experienced HR professional to join our client's dynamic team supporting over 700 personnel in a true HR Generalist role.

Your new role

As our client's site based HR Advisor, you'll deliver end-to-end HR services across recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, and engagement initiatives. This is a FIFO position from Darwin | 9-day fortnight (5/2, 4/3).

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment across diverse operational roles
• Partner with leaders to align workforce strategies with business goals
• Provide HR reporting, metrics, and insights to support decision-making
• Advise on industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements
• Lead investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing initiatives
• Process contract variations and employment changes accurately and on time.
• Support training delivery and capability development
• Build strong relationships across departments to influence positive outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

• HR qualifications (Diploma or higher)
• Experience in mining, construction or heavy industry (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of IR, EA compliance & Australian employment law
• Confidence managing complex HR cases and partnering with leaders
