Sydney CBD | Full‑time | Office‑based (WFH after probation) $100k plus super
Your new company
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you'll act as a first point of contact for managers and employees, supporting the full employee lifecycle across multiple business units. This role is busy, varied and requires someone who is solutions‑focused, organised and comfortable working at pace.
This position is full‑time in the office during probation, with one work‑from‑home day available post‑probation. With a salary up to $100 -$105k plus super based in Sydney CBD.
Your new role

Act as the frontline People & Culture contact, providing timely, practical advice on employee queries, awards, agreements and basic employment legislation

Support end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contracts, variations, exits and record management

Partner closely with payroll to resolve pay, roster and staffing enquiries

Maintain accurate HR records and manage HR systems (including HRIS and recruitment platforms)

Support recruitment activities including job briefs, advertising, coordination and contracts

Assist with high‑volume recruitment initiatives, group recruitment and seasonal workforce requirements

Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities, including restructures and redeployment

Assist with compliance reporting, government programs and wage subsidies

Support People & Culture initiatives, engagement activities and continuous improvement projects

Build strong relationships with operational leaders, industry partners and education providers
What you'll need to succeed
-
Proven experience in a fast‑paced, operational HR / People & Culture role

Background in retail, hospitality, FMCG, or other complex, people‑heavy environments is highly regarded

Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, awards and NES (at an operational level)

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Confident handling multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong communication skills and a calm, practical approach

Comfortable being office‑based and highly visible within the business

Experience using HR systems and recruitment platforms (training provided where needed)
