Hays is pleased to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing company based in Melbourne who wish to appoint an HR Advisor - Compensation & Benefits to join their global team.

Your new role

As an HR Advisor - Compensation & Benefits, you will work closely with the HR Director to analyse and review the company's benefit offering and ensure that it is aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives, is competitive within the local market, and compliant with legislation. You will also be responsible for supporting with generalist HR tasks to support the wider HR team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the review and development of compensation and benefits policies and procedures.
  • Analyse and report on compensation, benefits and payroll data.
  • Conduct job evaluations and market research to determine appropriate compensation levels.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Coordinate payroll.
  • First point of contact for employee enquiries related to compensation and benefits.
  • Assist in the coordination of the annual performance review process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Support with general HR administration.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary level qualification in Accountancy and/or Human Resources or related field.
  • Previous experience in compensation and benefits administration or projects.
  • Sound knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
