We're currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a large, complex organisation on a temporary contract until the end of January, supporting increased workload and major people initiatives. This role offers a mix of HR advisory and coordination/administration, ideal for a strong generalist who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
The role
You'll be part of a central HR services team delivering end‑to‑end people support while also assisting with business‑critical projects and system changes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing generalist HR advice across contracts, recruitment processing and policy interpretation
- Supporting high‑volume recruitment administration, including contract generation and approvals
- Maintaining accurate employee data and supporting HR systems administration
- Escalating complex employee relations matters to senior advisors as required
- Assisting with documentation, training materials and knowledge sharing across the team
- Supporting BAU HR operations during concurrent enterprise‑wide initiatives
About you
- Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role
- Strong exposure to HR coordination and administration alongside advisory work
- Experience in higher education or a similarly complex, regulated environment highly regarded
- Confident using HR systems and quick to learn new platforms (Workday and/or Oracle experience desirable)
- Comfortable managing high volumes of work with competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work collaboratively within a supportive, case‑based team model
