An exciting temporary opportunity is available for an experienced People Partner to join a busy and highly regarded public sector environment. This role will suit someone who enjoys partnering closely with leaders, providing practical HR advice and supporting a broad range of operational people matters.

About the role
As People Partner, you will provide generalist HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad employee lifecycle remit. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to resolve operational people matters, support workforce and establishment activities, contribute to process improvements and ensure advice is aligned with relevant policies, guidelines and legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate HR advice to managers and employees across a range of operational people matters.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted point of contact for HR support.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, contract administration, performance matters, employment conditions and workforce reporting.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and workforce data, ensuring information is accurate and suitable for reporting, audit and workforce planning purposes.
  • Assist with investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, escalating complex issues where required.
  • Coach, guide and support staff in the use of HR systems, processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across people processes, procedures and service delivery.
  • Prepare advice, reports, correspondence and briefs as required.
About you
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR advisory, people partnering or HR business partnering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, employment conditions and HR policy interpretation.
  • Confidence providing practical advice to managers and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when working with HR systems, workforce data and reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear advice and documentation.
  • NSW Government HR experience is essential.
  • Available to commence at short notice.

  • Pay rate equivalent to $115,000-$125,000 + superannuation.
