Your new company

Based in Port Melbourne, this Government agency is seeking an established Recruitment Manager to drive strategic recruitment initiatives and lead a high-performing team in delivering scalable recruitment solutions for large-scale operations. As the Recruitment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing surge recruitment campaigns, uplifting recruitment systems and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role is a full time fixed-term contract until November 2026, providing a unique opportunity to lead impactful recruitment and workforce initiatives.

Your new role

  • Leading VPS surge recruitment and secondment campaigns aligned with workforce planning needs
  • Developing and implementing scalable recruitment strategies within the VPS framework
  • Collaborating with HR and operational teams to streamline recruitment timelines and improve onboarding processes
  • Building strong relationships with hiring managers and recruitment partners
  • Monitoring recruitment metrics and workforce data to inform continuous improvement
  • Leading a team of Recruitment Advisors, ensuring clarity of roles, effective workload distribution, and high-quality outcomes
  • Supporting the implementation and optimisation of recruitment systems and tools

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of Recruitment Advisors, driving high quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in leading surge recruitment and secondment campaigns within the Victorian Public Service (VPS)
  • Strong understanding of the Victorian Public Sector (VPS) recruitment framework, including relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and policy requirements
  • Experience implementing and optimising recruitment systems and digital tools to manage candidate pipelines, onboarding, and rostering
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline recruitment timelines and onboarding processes through structured methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience in monitoring recruitment metrics and workforce data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform strategic improvements
