Hays is partnering with Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia to recruit a General Manager People & Culture for Ayers Rock Resort. One of Australia's most unique tourism destinations.
The Organisation
Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia operates iconic tourism experiences grounded in cultural authenticity, sustainability and community impact. Ayers Rock Resort, located in the heart of Central Australia near UluruKata Tjuta National Park, is a self contained destination offering a range of accommodation options, dining, cultural experiences and over 65 tours and activities for guests.

The Opportunity
Based onsite at Ayers Rock Resort, this senior leadership role reports to the Director of People & Culture (Based at Voyages Corporate Office), with a dotted line to the Resort General Manager. You will lead the P&C function for the entire resort, overseeing a team of Managers, Advisors, Coordinators and Administrators.
The role is responsible for delivering both strategic and operational HR outcomes and ensuring the Resort maintains a skilled, engaged and culturally aware workforce.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the People & Culture team across Ayers Rock Resort.

Implement HR frameworks, workforce strategies and P&C processes that support a stable and high functioning workforce.

Provide expert IR and ER guidance, including interpretation of Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards.

Partner closely with operational leaders and the Voyages P&C team to ensure alignment across the business.

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and L&D initiatives.

Support and enhance Indigenous employment pathways, including NITA traineeships.

Drive improvements in HR operations, compliance and reporting.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will bring:

Strong experience in People & Culture leadership.

Minimum 5+ years senior management experience in hospitality or a similar operational environment.

Experience working in remote locations or a strong understanding of Central Australian contexts (preferred).

Strong capability across workforce planning, employee relations, coaching and operational HR.

Excellent cross cultural communication and relationship building skills.

High levels of initiative, resilience and the ability to operate both strategically and hands on.
