The firm operates a modern, corporate‑style structure with a CEO, COO and executive leadership model, creating a more balanced and commercially grounded decision‑making environment than traditional partner‑led firms. The P&C function is also undergoing a significant uplift in sophistication, giving this role a genuine opportunity to shape improved processes, governance and ways of working.
You will lead and coach a small team, oversee first‑line advisory work nationally, and manage a modest personal client portfolio to stay connected to the rhythm of the business. The role has a strong operational focus, ensuring high‑quality advice, disciplined governance and alignment across all offices.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a modest personal client portfolio to stay connected to day‑to‑day operational needs
Success in this role requires:
- Strong legal‑sector experience and understanding of CPD, the Legal Services Award and the nuances of legal practice
- Proven people leadership, ideally managing Advisors and Business Partners
- Confidence with complex ER matters and first‑line advisory oversight
- Experience operating nationally across multiple offices
- Ability to drive consistency, coach a dispersed team and operate at pace
- Comfort working in a function still on a maturity journey
